  • Parent Council Welcome Pack - the leaflets in this pack are designed to answer some of the questions members may have about Parent Councils and help them make their Parent Council work well.
  • Creating a culture of emotional literacy - a new poster has been sent to schools that aims to build knowledge and skills in emotional literacy and to promote mental and emotional well being.
  • Call for sports academies - Graham Watson, head of the Scottish Institute of Sport Foundation, has said Scotland needs to set up six elite sports academies to train the medal winners of the future.
  • Scotland leads UK on tackling the school run - the UK's leading sustainable transport charity, says that continued Scottish Government investment to improve walking and cycling in Scotland means the country is leading the way on tackling the school run.

A reminder that the conference programme for this year's Scottish Learning Festival is now available.
